Damson Duck, is a small business founded in 2018 by Tim & Victoria, working from their barn in Bedfordshire.

Having made items for friends and family for a number of years we decided to take a 'leap of faith' and start selling our work!

We believe handcrafted things bring so much more pleasure to our every day lives and hope others feel the same.

Our ceramics are hand built or hand thrown on the potter's wheel in stoneware or porcelain clay. Once an item has been made it is then left to dry for a few days before trimming and stamping with our potter’s mark. When fully dried they are bisque fired to 1050ºC. They are left to cool and then hand glazed with a carefully chosen glaze and re-fired to 1240ºC. This glaze firing takes 8-10 hours.

 

Carefully handcrafting ceramics is not a quick process and items can take from 2-6 weeks to make, so please remember much love, care and time went in to creating each piece.

 

As our ceramics are handmade, each is unique and may vary slightly in size and colour from the photographs shown.

Although they are dishwasher safe, it is kinder to the glaze if they are hand washed.
